This is a translation, provided so you can understand what you are agreeing to. The binding version is the Spanish one, and it prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
The eSIM shop stores very little in your browser, and everything it stores is either to work or to remember what you chose.
What is stored
- Your cart: the plan you picked and how many eSIMs you want. Without this there would be nothing to pay for at checkout.
- Your currency and language, so we do not ask again on every page.
- Your cookie decision, so the notice is not shown again.
- Your session, if you sign in to your account.
How we count our visits
We count our own visits, and that is why this is here: so you know exactly how. No cookie is stored and your IP is not kept. Your IP and your browser are mixed with a random number that changes every night and is not kept afterwards, and out of that comes a fingerprint whose only job is to avoid counting you six times when you look at six pages. The next day that fingerprint cannot be rebuilt, so there is no way to tell you came back. We cannot know who you are, nor match what you browse with what you buy.
That measurement is ours and never leaves this site, so it does not depend on you accepting anything. What follows does.
Third-party analytics and advertising
The shop can carry these three tags, and none of them loads unless you accept it in the cookie notice:
- Google Analytics 4 ("analytics" group): which pages get viewed, in what language, and where people get stuck.
- Meta pixel, for Facebook and Instagram ("marketing" group): which ad brought a visit, and which visits ended in a purchase.
- Google Ads ("marketing" group): the same, for Google ads.
If you accept them, those companies install their own cookies and receive what you do in the shop: the pages you look at, the plan you add and the purchase, with its amount.
And if you accept marketing, the purchase is also reported to Meta from our server, without going through your browser. What we send is your email hashed one way —never in the clear, and that hashing cannot be undone—, the amount and the order number. It is what makes a sale count once even when your browser blocks the pixel, which is what happens on half of all phones. If you decline marketing, this does not happen either.
Declining loads nothing. That is not the usual setup: the norm is to load the tags anyway in "denied mode" and keep sending cookieless signals. Here, if you say no, not a single script from Google or Meta is downloaded.
The payment gateway
When you pay, the secure Stripe form loads and installs its own technical and fraud-prevention cookies. They are necessary in order to take payment.
How to change your mind
Whenever you want, and without hunting for it: at the foot of any page there is "Configure preferences", which reopens the notice with whatever you chose last time. Withdrawing consent costs the same as giving it.
You can also delete and block all of this from your browser settings. Bear in mind that if you block the essentials, the cart and the payment stop working.
